We've been championing Clinique's barely there (in the best way) lip color since 2017, when Amy Larocca , who was at that point our fashion editor-at-large, declared it an utterly "perfect" lipstick that manages to "look good on everyone." I've been a fan for even longer; Almost Lipstick's iconic silver tubes have been floating around my various tote bags, makeup bags, and desk drawers since high school. I've never been a big lipstick wearer or makeup person in general, which is precisely why I love Black Honey: The goth-tinged deep-raisin color of the stick is actually nothing more than a sheer veil of color when applied. A single swipe of that, plus some tinted sunscreen, and I simultaneously feel pulled-together yet extremely casual.
