Geroge Clooney Names Timothée Chalamet, Glen Powell And Zendaya As Actors Who Stand Out

George Clooney says the classic movie star era is over, praises Timothée Chalamet, Glen Powell and Zendaya

Despite this assessment, Clooney didn⁘t hold back in praising the emerging generation. He described Chalamet as a standout talent of his age, highlighted Powell⁘s charisma and spoke highly of Zendaya, calling her talent ⁘exceptional.⁘ These comments landed at a moment when all three actors are among the most talked‑about performers in Hollywood, with each leading high‑profile films or major franchise projects in recent years.

Fans and industry observers on social platforms soon jumped into discussion threads after Clooney⁘s remarks, with many dissecting what it means for the concept of a ⁘movie star⁘ today. Some agree with Clooney that the scene has splintered, with streaming platforms and franchise‑driven content diluting the influence of individual actors as box office draws. Others argued that while the traditional model may have changed, performers like Chalamet and Zendaya still command attention and can help drive a film⁘s success.

Chalamet in particular has been a ubiquitous presence in film this year, hosting Saturday Night Live multiple times and starring in critically acclaimed projects like Marty Suprem, performances that have only underscored his prominence among contemporary audiences. Powell has likewise gained traction through charismatic roles in action and comedy projects, while Zendaya⁘s global brand continues to resonate across both film and television audiences.

Clooney⁘s perspective touches on a broader debate about how Hollywood defines stardom in an era dominated by franchises, social media and ever‑expanding content libraries. His own career, spanning dramas, comedies and blockbuster hits, illustrates the model he describes, one in which a studio⁘s long‑term investment in an actor was once central to their success.

'I Tried Maybelline's New £11 Mascara Colours And There's One I Can't Stop Wearing*

I'm pretty picky when it comes to mascara. Not just for the results they deliver but also because my eyes are so sensitive they'll react to just about anything. And when I find a formula that doesn't cause irritation, I'm after a dramatic, high-impact look that doesn't flake or leave me looking like a panda after a few hours.

After years of testing products—perks of the job—I've found a few absolute gems that actually do the job. And naturally, I use them until there's no morsel left in the tube, to save my money.

And when it launched coloured versions, alongside its classic black, I had to get my hands on them. Initially dropping burgundy haze, electric blue, and bright pink - I opted for the less daring burgundy for my hazel eyes - Maybelline has now introduced Green Altitude , Plum Twilight , and True Brown shades (alongside silver and gold).

Maybelline's Sky High Lash Sensational Mascara has been expanded to include a range of new colours, including Green Altitude, a forest green hue.

Arriving in the same shimmering tube that's unmistakably Maybelline Sky High , the emerald mascara features packaging that complements its green hue, as does Plum Twilight, whilst True Brown retains its signature pink casing.

Being well-acquainted with this brand and particular mascara, I anticipated the smooth application process with its Flex Tower wand that effortlessly coats every lash (including those tricky corner ones). I was also confident in the outstanding results; it consistently provides impressive length (courtesy of bamboo extract), producing the wispy, lump-free lashes I've always wanted - eliminating the need for lash curlers.

According to Maybelline's website: ⁘Green Altitude is a standout choice. Not only does the green colour help darken and lengthen lashes, but it can work to bring out the natural green already within your eyes⁘. Regarding the fresh True Brown shade, they noted: ⁘Similarly, a brown mascara like Brownish Black can perform the same for your eyes' darker tones⁘.

BofA Maintains Neutral Stance On Coty (COTY) Heading Into 2026 Amid Uncertain Consumption Growth...

Coty Inc. (NYSE: COTY ) is one of the cheap penny stocks to invest in . On December 19, Bank of America lowered the firm's price target on Coty to $3 from $3.50 and maintained an Underperform rating on the shares. Heading into 2026, the primary uncertainty for consumer staples is the trajectory of consumption growth. While valuations vary widely across the sector, the firm suggests that there is currently no compelling reason for investors to end their neutrality.

On December 12, TD Cowen also lowered the firm's price target on Coty to $3.75 from $4 with a Hold rating on the shares. The firm revised its valuation model to account for updated revenue growth targets, specifically highlighting a cautious outlook for H1 2026. The firm identified several headwinds, including post-holiday inventory destocking at major retailers and a saturated promotional environment that may compress margins. The report also pointed to sustained pressure within the mass cosmetics category as consumers shift toward value-oriented spending.

Coty Inc. (NYSE:COTY), together with its subsidiaries, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells branded beauty products worldwide. It operates through two segments: the Prestige and Consumer Beauty.

Re De Cartier Gained Icon Status

Over a century since the motif was first unveiled, the Panth⁘re de Cartier has firmly established itself as an icon in jewellery history. The fierce, untamable feline possesses many facets to its personality, and continues to be reimagined in countless creations.

The history of the Cartier Panthe⁘re began when Jeanne Toussaint , a Parisian style icon, became acquainted with French jeweller Louis Cartier. Jeanne⁘s apartment in Paris, adorned with leopard skin motifs, was all the talk in the French capital⁘s social circles. Legend has it that she was inspired after seeing a panther on safari in Africa, with her obsession even earning her the nickname ⁘La Panthe⁘re⁘. And voila , the inspiration for Cartier⁘s famous jewellery line was born!

What started as a nickname indeed became the basis of one of Cartier⁘s most iconic jewellery creations ⁘ the Cartier Panthe⁘re wristwatch. It was the year 1914 at 13 Rue de la Paix in Paris, the stylistic cradle of Cartier, where the panther manifested itself in this watch, adorned with onyx and diamonds. The gemstones symbolised the feminine temperament and avant-garde allure of the panther, while the diamond⁘s scintillation was also a nod to the wild cat⁘s gleaming coat.

In the same year, the feline was featured on an invitation to a jewellery exhibition commissioned by Cartier from the artist George Barbier, with the graceful cat featured at the feet of an elegantly dressed lady. Later, under Jeanne Toussaint, appointed Creative Director of Cartier in 1933, the panther took on a sculptural, three-dimensional form. Under her vision, the panther became known for its stunningly sculpted yellow gold and black enamel ⁘ a colour combination that gave the animal more dimension.

Another significant brooch from the 1940s saw the powerful panther poised atop an impressive, cabochon-cut emerald weighing over 116 carats, set to become one of the most iconic jewellery pieces of the 20th century.

A big milestone occurred in 1983 when Cartier launched the Panthe⁘re de Cartier line of quartz watches ⁘ featuring a yellow gold link bracelet that perfectly matched the glam aesthetic of the ⁘80s ⁘ that quickly saw an upsurge in popularity.

'Palm Royale's Ricky Martin And Kaia Gerber Break Down The “Crazier And Messier

But while Bibb's Dinah is also learning that privilege doesn't protect you when threats turn real, that sense of exposure extends to Kaia Gerber 's Mitzi the mos t. With the very pregnant character's photo turning up in Jed's ( Dorsey Ryan ) wallet, the actress frames the moment not as a twist, but a confirmation: Mitzi has always been smart, choosing to be underestimated as a form of control.

COLLIDER: Robert begins the season as everyone's savior, but by Episode 7, he has lost Tom, and then Norma adopts him. In the last three episodes, does he finally reclaim his agency, or does he sink into the role that Palm Beach or even Norma has kind of written for him?

MARTIN: It gets crazier and messier in the last three episodes. I love it because he gets married, but I'm not going to say to whom. It's just crazy like that. It's very special.

You know what? I have a funny feeling the two of you are paired together today, and you are basically telling me that Dinah and Robert get married.

Kaia, early in the season, Dinah tells Evelyn that Mitzi's gotten smart, and then by Episode 7, we kind of piece it all together. Her picture in Jed's wallet hints at something bigger. How did you want audiences to feel about Mitzi at this point? Should they be impressed by her, or should they be worried about her?

The Hidden Meaning Behind Emily's Clothes And Style Evolution In Season 5...

Emily in Paris season 5 has finally premiered, and more than the romantic or professional drama, what has elicited gasps of amazement is the fashion. Because yes, despite the harsh criticism the wardrobe received in the first two seasons, this Netflix series is establishing itself as a fashion benchmark in the history of popular culture.

Part of the core of the story is seeing a young woman adapt from the cosmopolitan landscapes of the United States to the historic streets of Paris and Rome (hint: the ruins of Mount Olympus lie in the next city she conquers). This process is represented both literally in the plot and abstractly (and very luxuriously) through fashion. ⁘In Rome, "she's loosening up a little, and her style's evolving and getting more sophisticated," added creator Darren Star .

The protagonist began as a young woman starting her professional career, then working from Paris, and in this new installment, which premiered on December 18, we see her managing her first headquarters of a major company in Rome.

"Italian women never shy away from being overdressed [with] glitter, feathers, et cetera," Fitoussi recently explained to Marie Claire . "[It's] what a Parisian woman would never want to do. The word 'overdressed' in France is considered rude."

The vibrant nature of the Italian capital was the main inspiration for the looks of the fifth season. "The colors in Rome are brighter than in Paris," she stated. "Paris became a little bit more monochromatic." She also noted that Venice favors a "much softer palette" with shades of beige and light green.

She continued, "This is what moms do for their kids. So you think you grew a candy cane. I was trying to create magic. Now, I have no tooth."

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Braless Pantsuit Was Peak “Office Siren”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley just added a new notch to her glowing resume: Fashion Director of e-tailer FWRD. The label is known for tapping supermodels to lead certain divisions. Kendall Jenner, for example, has been its creative director for a few years now, curating her own seasonal edits and starring in its campaigns. To commemorate Huntington-Whiteley's new post, she also came up with her own edit and starred in the corresponding materials.

In a sea of timeless looks she modeled, there was one that fully captured her boss babe persona: a boxy pantsuit with a spicy twist.

The former Victoria's Secret Angel is used to being an executive (she's behind makeup brand Rose Inc., after all). That said, she's always been comfortable CEO-core dressing. (She even collaborated with Wardrobe.NYC for a collection of chic boardroom-ready pieces.) As one of fashion's most adventurous, she's also a huge fan of corp sleaze , CEO-core's spicier sister. That's exactly what she channeled in one of her FWRD layouts.

For the shoot, posted on Instagram on Friday, Dec. 19, Huntington-Whiteley wore a classic black pantsuit from Givenchy with contemporary elements. The blazer featured pointy, padded shoulders, in line with the trending boxy silhouette. However, it was the risqué way she styled it that made it even more jaw-dropping. Sans a blouse or bra, the décolletage-forward result was on brand with Hollywood's "naked dressing" ethos.

With Huntington-Whiteley's approval, the corp sleaze aesthetic is clearly showing no signs of slowing down in 2026.

In another photo, Huntington-Whiteley served an alternate version of "office vixen." The look included a fitted leather strapless top from Khaite with a high, sculptural neckline that fell forward, away from her collarbone, and a matching skirt. Her office-friendly touch came in the form of huge, black-rimmed opticals, which she styled with a sleek bun.

Elsewhere in the chic photo dump, the supermodel went the glamorous route in shield sunglasses and a gold/latte fur coat from Toteme, which featured an oversized chunky collar and a center slit. Instead of wearing it with bottoms, she also gave this the skin-baring treatment by keeping her legs bare and visible. Her only form of leg covering? A pair of knee-high boots from Bottega Veneta, which mimicked the brand's signature intrecciato weave.

Favorite⁘ Calvin Klein Dress From Gwyneth Paltrow For The...

Elizabeth Saltzman (the Paltrow family stylist) handpicked the archival Calvin Klein look for Apple. How she managed to narrow down her choices remains a mystery. "I started saving clothes for Apple about 15, 20 years before she was born," Paltrow told Vogue in September. So, the options were endless. Ultimately, a sleeveless, all-black slip made the cut, defined by its classic U-shaped neckline and lace-up open back.

Martin mirrored her mother's look from the July 1996 premiere of Emma like a blueprint, down to the dainty accessories. Her only diamonds? Stud earrings from Tiffany ⁘ Co., which caught the light with every other pose. Manolo Blahnik heels barely peeked out from beneath the gown's floor-grazing hem. Martin didn't pose for photographers with the original silver, kiss-lock clutch in tow, but knowing Paltrow, it's tucked away in her archive.

Before her pink Ralph Lauren ballgown at the 1999 Academy Awards , fans regarded Paltrow's Calvin Klein slip as one of her best red carpet moments. For the '96 Emma premiere, the Oscar winner juxtaposed the film's early 19th century costumes in the most anti-method of dresses. It proved Paltrow's synonymous turn to minimalism in the '90s was complete. Fans still know the actor for her classic colors, clean lines, and timeless beauty reclaimed, all of which empowered Martin to pull off the LBD almost 30 years later.

It was only a matter of time before Martin gave Paltrow's vintage a proper red carpet close-up. "My absolute favorite stuff is her old Calvin Klein from the '90s," Martin told Interview in April 2025. "Going into her archive closet is just heaven on earth."

Sometimes, when they're far from a red carpet, the two "play dress up" in Paltrow's Oscar dresses. In June 2023, during an Instagram Q⁘A, she shared a photo of Martin in that Alexander McQueen ballgown from the 2002 Academy Awards. The entire lace-up bodice appeared sheer, a motif she first tested at the '98 Shakespeare In Love premiere. (See her "naked" Giorgio Armani gown in all its embroidered glory.)

Emily Ratajkowski Highlights 'Great Boobs' In Topless Bikini

Scroll for the photos. Looking comfortable as she exposed her assets while enjoying a solo moment in the water, Emily highlighted her unbelievable proportions, wearing what looked like a ruched pair of swimwear bottoms.

Drawing the eye to her bare bosom as she frolicked the ocean topless, the Inamorata founder had her nipples blurred by The Daily Mail , but there was no mistaking her revealing display as her rolled-down swimsuit showed nearly everything.

Photos showed her in the ocean, back on land, plus chest-deep in the water, where she was seen smiling and taking a photo with her phone.

"Yes, we all know she has great boobs and bum blah blah blah but she has awful posture and a really weird pot belly. Yes I'm nitpicking," one fan said, with over 3,000 others liking this reply. Another blamed Emily for always showing off her chest, with a fan responding to this comment with: "I don't blame her if I had nice perky boobs, I'll do the same." Emily Ratajkowski, who made her runway debut with Victoria's Secret in October of this year, was also told:

"All this girl ever does is complain on social media about how women are objectified, but yet all she does in her spare time is show off her goods. Hypocrisy at its finest." The above photo comes from EmRata's first runway walk with VS.

Lila Moss reportedly raked in more than £1 million in profit with her company, Grace Grove, in 2024.

The supermodel , 51, sold the Highgate mansion for £11.5 million - a reported £4.25 million profit in 11 years - and relocated to her Cotswolds property in 2022.

The model was reportedly shocked at her mother's decision to sell the pad, telling friends in 2021: "I remember the first time playing hide and seek in this house when it was empty, kind of like how it is now."

We Step Inside The Dior Beauty Circus Of Dreams

Pietro Ruffo may not be a name one immediately associates with Dior Beauty, yet he is the creative hand and heartfelt visionary behind the houses's celebrated Holiday artworks, a cherished friend and long-time collaborator of the brand. Known for his intricate paintings and figurative paper compositions, the contemporary Italian artist began his career as an architect, a discipline that continues to shape his artistic approach. "I am an architect, so I like to organise my drawings according to an orderly and harmonious composition," he explains. "Each work is made up of different drawings and layers, becoming a visual palimpsest that invites viewers into a dreamlike world," Pietro explains.

From make-up palettes to perfume boxes, the intricate designs and patterns will decorate the Dior Beauty collections this holiday season – a process that started with "a procession of emotions" says the artist adding: "The figures I drew – acrobats, riders, jugglers – are not there to represent a literal show, but rather to embody the expectation, the transformation, the wonder. Each detail tells a silent story, like a fragrance that floats in the air."

So, what inspired Pietro to start creating these bespoke artworks, and how did he begin the process? "My designs for Dior start from a very simple element: a blue pen. When I create my works of art, the first step is research, made on ancient and modern texts and directly on the field, taking hours, days and sometimes months of work even for the creation of a single drawing," says Pietro.

Mariah Carey's $8K Louis Vuitton Look Includes Dramatic Scarf

The indisputable Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey , embraced the winter spirit as she stepped out in a Louis Vuitton outfit in Aspen, Colorado. Spending her holidays in Aspen has been a longtime tradition for Carey, who wrapped up her Christmastime in Las Vegas residency on December 13. Hosted at Dolby Live at Park MGM, the residency began on November 28 and lasted for a total of 10 shows.

Ahead of Christmas, Mariah Carey was spotted in Aspen dressed in a white poncho coat and a black and white scarf. The hitmaker paired the Louis Vuitton leather-trimmed coat, worth $7,800, with a 3D wool-cashmere scarf priced at $855. The scarf featured the luxury brand's monogram and black fringe details, which matched the black leather trimming on the coat.

Further, Carey completed the look with sheer tights, a pair of black knee-high boots, leather gloves, and sunglasses. While she styled her long hair in loose waves, she kept her makeup simple with a soft blush and a nude lip shade. She stopped by to take some pictures with fans. The photos have taken over the internet, and fans cannot help but gush over her stunning looks and iconic fashion sense.

Billboard recently revealed that Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has broken the record for the longest-running No. 1 song on the Hot 100 at 20 weeks. It has been over 30 years since the festive hit first made ripples in the music industry. It is still one of the most beloved Christmas songs.

On December 17, the publication published an interview with Carey. In the interview, the pop star shared her feelings about breaking the record, saying, "It's amazing. Honestly, it really is. I can't lie." She also admitted she was surprised by just how big the song became.

We found 9 ultra-cozy, super-affordable cashmere and cashmere-blend sweaters — some for as little as $50.

Nostalgic chocolates, butter cookies, honey-roasted pecans — so many festive sweets to choose from, and they're all on sale from just $5.

Ralph Lauren Pre-fall 2026

It's been another big year for Ralph Lauren, who in October took home the CFDA American Womenswear Designer of the Year award after staging two strong women's collection runway shows in New York in 2025.

The brand also unveiled its latest artist residence for Polo Ralph Lauren with Tópa's Jocy and Trae Little Sky ; rolled out its new three-year strategic plan in September; unveiled the Team USA Olympic and Paralympic uniforms for the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Games, and renewed its long-term partnership with the U.S. Tennis Association as the official outfitter of the U.S. Open through 2032, to name a few other things.

Sabrina Carpenter Styles Early 2000s Glamour in Ralph Lauren, Tate McRae Goes Retro in Versace and More From the 2025 Variety Hitmakers Red Carpet

On the heels of its festive "Ralph Lauren Holiday Experience," a private evening with live musical performance by Laufey, in Los Angeles — which brought in notable guests Kate Hudson, Phoebe Dynevor, Cooper Koch, Gia Coppola and more — Lauren has also revealed that, after a gap of some 20-plus years, he will bring his Purple Label and Polo Ralph Lauren menswear collections to the upcoming Milan Men's Fashion Week runways in January.

That no doubt foreshadows another busy year ahead for the American designer, who is continuing to look toward the future, as seen through his glamorous and sleek pre-fall collection. Lauren described it as a mix of utility and glam, with sultry sophistication, "a cool toughness embraced by a woman whose beauty and style is defined by an inner confidence," he told WWD.

While his Polo lineups continue to lead fashion's ongoing elevated preppy trend, his luxury women's collection exemplifies the brand's consistent evolution and elevation of his aesthetic, which for pre-fall touched on earthy nods instilled on glamorous dress. It was a through line seen in the season's mix of daywear and stellar evening styles in a rich, earthy palette of greens, mushroom and chocolate browns, stone and granite grays, such as a new bark pleated dress that evoked the idea of mycelium and a key pair of khaki green trousers that worked in natural, sustainable techniques à la stone washing.

Chanel's Famed La Pausa Getaway Has Returned As A Cultural Retreat

The French Riviera in the 1920s and '30s was the ultimate playground, a place for the cultural elite to let loose. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald immediately come to mind when recalling that era, as do Man Ray, Rudolph Valentino, Dorothy Parker, Ernest Hemingway, and Pablo Picasso. Another key figure, of course, was Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, whose famous uniform of espadrilles, loose jersey trousers, and sailor tops captured the Cote d'Azur's spirit of easygoing, sun-drenched elegance. But not everyone knows that as Chanel was crafting the blueprint for modern luxury through clothes, she was also overseeing the construction of a clifftop villa, La Pausa, in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

Rejecting the fussy and the superfluous, Chanel commissioned architect Robert Streitz to design a structure that stood in deliberate contrast to the region's Mediterranean style. La Pausa was conceived as an almost monastic monument to simplicity: clean lines, pale walls, and a stark, double-flight stone staircase that was a deliberate echo of the convent orphanage where Chanel spent her youth. In this retreat, Chanel didn't just entertain; she curated a rarefied yet surprisingly informal salon. She brought together the era's most electrifying minds, including Jean Cocteau, Igor Stravinsky, Salvador Dalí, and many more, fostering a spirit of creative freedom.

"Gabrielle Chanel collected people," said Yana Peel, Chanel's president of arts, culture and heritage, before dinner with these and other guests. "There was a beautiful opportunity, after restoring La Pausa, to think about how to animate and enliven the space that housed such incredible minds. How would it feel to reconnect around that spirit of Cocteau and Colette?"

La Pausa's new chapter fits into Chanel's broader approach to culture, which is partner-led, long-reaching, and philanthropic in nature. Rather than open its own museum, as other luxury brands have done, the house teams with institutions around the world to help further a variety of initiatives. "There are themes that we are always excited to support, like the love of literature and the advancement of women, because they relate to the DNA of the house in a very authentic way," said Peel. "We want to bring people together who should know each other, who could do something additive that accelerates the ideas that shape culture forward."

Why Coty (COTY) Is Down 6.7% After Leadership Shake-Up And Mass-Market Brand Review

Coty's controlling shareholder JAB Holdings has already begun a leadership overhaul, with chair Peter Harf and CEO Sue Nabi set to leave amid a review of underperforming mass-market cosmetics brands and potential divestitures such as CoverGirl, Rimmel, and Max Factor.

We'll now explore how this leadership reset and possible sale of mass-market brands could reshape Coty's previously expected turnaround narrative.

We've found 13 US stocks that are forecast to pay a dividend yield of over 6% next year . See the full list for free.

To own Coty today, you need to believe the company can pivot from a challenged mass-market base toward a more resilient prestige-focused model, while managing high debt and returning to profitability. The leadership overhaul and review of mass brands directly affect the key near term catalyst of a cleaner, higher margin portfolio, but also sharpen the biggest risk around execution missteps and disruption as management changes and licence losses, such as Gucci from 2028, play out.

Among recent updates, Coty's launch of the Orveda flagship in Bangkok stands out, because it shows how the company is already leaning into prestige skincare and Southeast Asia to support its turnaround catalysts in fragrances, premiumization and digital-led growth, even as mass cosmetics and travel retail remain under pressure.

Yet behind the leadership shake-up, investors should be aware of the ongoing pressure from high debt and refinancing needs...

Coty's narrative projects $6.1 billion revenue and $302.1 million earnings by 2028. This requires 1.3% yearly revenue growth and a $683.2 million earnings increase from -$381.1 million today.

Five members of the Simply Wall St Community currently estimate Coty's fair value between US$3.69 and US$9.24, highlighting very different expectations for upside. When you set those views against Coty's reliance on licensed brands such as Gucci and HUGO BOSS, it underlines how concentrated product risks can influence long term performance assumptions.

And the analyst said the company's revenue growth accelerated in the second half of 2025, which means it ramped up its user base, plus it was able to deepen its streaming partnerships.

The analyst calls it a top pick in beauty for 2026, saying that she's encouraged by its beauty reimagined plan, which is focused on rebuilding revenues through innovation, higher exposure to fast growing distribution channels and increased spend on consumer focus.

It also expects an overall improving beauty market next year in the US and China. But keep in mind, the average 12-month price target on the street is $104.

Unilever Hires Creator Agency Across Three Brands

Unilever has picked creator agency Buttermilk to lead creator programmes across three brands: Tresemm⁘ UK, Liquid IV and Simple Skincare UK, following a competitive pitch.

Campfire was the incumbent on the Tresemm⁘ account, while Liquid IV had no previous agency covering creator work.

Buttermilk has already begun working for the brand, with campaigns under way for Liquid IV and Tresemm⁘.

For Liquid IV, a hydration brand that launched in the UK last year, Buttermilk has designed a UK creator programme that aims to embed hydration into British wellness culture, from everyday rituals, fitness and festivals.

Olivia Otesanya, health and wellbeing marketing lead UK at Liquid IV, said: ⁘With the momentum we⁘ve built since launching in the UK last year, there⁘s still a huge opportunity to educate consumers on hydration as a wellness essential. We needed a strategic partner who could cultivate influence authentically and deliver content that resonates. Buttermilk⁘s community-first approach made them the perfect choice.⁘

Unilever announced a shift to a "social-first" marketing strategy in March, which came with a plan to increase its investment in social media to 50% of its total marketing budget, while spending 20 times more on influencers.

Buttermilk⁘s co-founder and chief executive, Jamie Ray, said: ⁘These wins highlight how consumer priorities are evolving. Wellness, beauty and self-care are no longer side conversations, they⁘re everyday essentials. The creator programmes we⁘ve kicked off with Liquid I.V. and TRESemm⁘ are designed to meet audiences in the moments that matter most.⁘

⁘My Mum Always Told Me That Less Is More⁘ - Kaia Gerber On Her Beauty Lessons From Cindy...

Kaia Gerber is no stranger to good eyebrows—especially growing up with a '90s supermodel as a mother, Cindy Crawford, who was known for her full brows. But the 24-year-old actress and model wants skinny brows . ⁘ I would love to try thin brows,⁘ she tells me, before I immediately beg her not to learn from my early 2000s mistakes. ⁘I thinned mine out a little bit for a project I was filming and kind of kept them, but I naturally have really thick eyebrows.⁘ While Gerber won't be tweezing her brows into oblivion quite yet, she says she'll stick to faking the controversial look with her favourite concealer, the Radiant Creamy Concealer from Nars, which she is now the brand face of.

Gerber's history with the brand goes back almost a decade, when the model was shot by Nars's founder and creative director, François Nars, for his photography book Persona.

We caught up with Gerber to chat all things make-up—from her desert-island products to spending hours doing her make-up.

⁘For so many people I've talked to, their gateway make-up products were Nars, and that includes me. The first make-up product I ever bought was the Radiant Creamy Concealer, which I still use to this day. I genuinely have never strayed from it, and for good reason, because it's just that good. I am proud of 13-year-old me for having taste that I can still stand behind. I feel like their products are so easy and work for everyone, and they have so many different skin tones depending on the time of year. It's been my go-to, and I now have my palette sort of perfected because I've been using it for over 10 years.⁘

Is LVMH Still A Quality Icon At A Fair Price Amid Shifting Luxury Demand?

Wondering if LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton Société Européenne is still a quality icon at a reasonable price, or if the luxury tag now extends to the stock itself? This breakdown is designed to give you a clear, valuation led answer.

The share price has been treading water recently, down 0.6% over the last week, 2.0% over the last month, and 1.7% year to date, but it is still up a solid 36.4% over 5 years.

Recent headlines have focused on shifting luxury demand between regions and brands, as investors weigh how resilient high end consumers really are in a more uncertain macro backdrop. At the same time, LVMH continues to lean on its portfolio strength, from fashion and leather goods to wines and spirits, to reinforce its positioning at the top of the global luxury stack.

Right now LVMH scores just 2/6 on our valuation checks, suggesting pockets of undervaluation but not an across the board bargain. We will unpack what different methods like discounted cash flow, multiples, and peer comparisons are really saying, then finish by looking at a smarter way to join all these pieces into one valuation story.

A Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model estimates what a company is worth by projecting its future cash flows and discounting them back to today, to reflect risk and the time value of money.

For LVMH, the model starts from last twelve month free cash flow of about €13.3 billion and uses a two stage Free Cash Flow to Equity approach. Analysts provide detailed forecasts for the next few years, with free cash flow expected to reach around €14.4 billion by 2029, and Simply Wall St then extrapolates further modest growth through 2035. These yearly cash flows, all in €, are discounted back into today's money using an appropriate rate that reflects equity risk.

Adding up all discounted cash flows gives an intrinsic value estimate of roughly €447.87 per share. Compared with the current market price, the DCF suggests that, under these assumptions, the shares trade at a premium of about 39.4% to the model's value.

Revlon's Glimmer Lip Treats Are The Balm-Mask Hybrid Of My Dreams

With so many lip products on the market, choosing just one feels as complicated as choosing the right boyfriend — and honestly, the tradeoffs are eerily similar. Do I want something to stay with me all day or for special occasions only? If I go for a gloss, will it cross the line from shiny to sticky? And will my wallet ever recover from this relationship? These are the questions running through my mind when I'm shopping for new lippies.

As a glossy-lip girl, scrolling for new options feels like a mating ritual I perform more often than I'd like to admit." Yet no matter what I choose, I always end up hauling around the same trio in my bag: a balm, a gloss, and a blush stick (dotted on my lips for color). But lately, I've hit the "it's not you, it's me" phase with my current lineup. I want a product that just… does more.

This lip balm-slash-mask comes in a cute squeezable tube with a cushiony silicone applicator — but the real magic happens inside the packaging. It comes in six shades that taste as good as they sound: an on-trend baby pink "Marshmallow Dreams," coral "Peach Bellini," milky purple "Lavender Vanilla," fuchsia "Hibiscus Spritz," light brown "Hazelnut Latte," and an unscented clear option.

The formula somehow feels thick but slippery and offers hydration from day to night, thanks to its moisture-packed hero ingredients. These include peptides , which act like an emollient to lock in the hydration and help create the illusion of a plumper pout; squalane to smooth and moisturize; and shea and jojoba butters to deliver even more protection against dry, cracking skin.

That said, I've been going to bed with the unscented clear mask slathered generously over my lips, and I wake up with the softest pout ever — plus, a wash of leftover product from the night before (on my skin, not my pillow, BTW).

Another immediate standout? The applicator. IMO, it's the most innovative part of the whole launch, aside from the balm-meets-mask formula. The silicone tip is gently curved to hug every contour of your lips. The application is smooth, even, and never bleeds past the corners of my mouth or cupid's bow (a key feature, because who has time to stand in front of a mirror every time you need to reapply?).

These 2010s Celebrity Makeup Moments Will Make You Instantly Nostalgic

Nothing gets us in our feels quite like revisiting nostalgic beauty moments, especially those so iconic they'll never be forgotten. The 2010s were an exciting time for pop culture, fashion, and beauty as a whole, with makeup being no exception. The red carpet was buzzing with celebrities who were all about self-expression and then some, from the glitter of Kesha's early days to the bold beauty of 2016 .

Where there's smoke, there's fire, and Rihanna checked every box with her sizzling makeup look for the CFDA Awards in 2014. Contrasting her smoky eye , deep gray hues, and black liner, her skin was sculpted and glowing to the max. Soft, barely there pink lip gloss tied the whole look together. It's safe to say we think about this look every time we pull out our most dramatic eyeshadow palettes.

Taylor Swift is no stranger to a red lip . We've seen her wear this signature style for well over a decade, and this classic statement from the 2010 Grammys marks an earlier, more subtle rendition. Paired with shimmering lids and some false eyelashes, this timeless makeup look transcends current trends.

Mod makeup meets highlighted skin in this makeup look from Hailey Bieber . The cat eye, shimmering rosy highlight, and pastel pink lips make a statement that all beauty enthusiasts can appreciate. When applying highlighter on your brow bones and cheeks, start slowly and layer the product as you go to create a glow that lasts.

Zendaya never disappoints on the red carpet, and this versatile soft glam look from the 2015 Oscars remains incredibly popular today. Thanks to the subtle contrast of the smokier eye and softer lip, the magic of this makeup look speaks for itself.

In this unforgettably colorful red carpet moment from the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Katy Perry stood out in electric shades of pink, blue, and yellow. This hot pink lip stirred a collective desire to play with vibrant colors that otherwise might be out of our comfort zone, and the multicolored graphic liner look only adds to the fun. Also, we'd be remiss not to pay our respects to that iconic blue wig.

BTS's Jungkook Announced As New Global Ambassador For Chanel Fragrances And Beauty

On December 11, Chanel officially announced that BTS's Jungkook will serve as the brand's newest global ambassador for Chanel Beauty.

Chanel stated, "Jungkook's bold and innovative spirit aligns seamlessly with the values Chanel Beauty pursues."

Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, head of Global Creative Resources for Chanel's Fragrance and Beauty, shared, "We are thrilled and honored to welcome Jungkook as a global ambassador. He perfectly embodies the essence and values that the House of Chanel represents. His passion and original artistry, which inspire a new generation, deeply resonate with the brand. We look forward to the collaboration ahead."

Jungkook also expressed his excitement, saying, "I'm truly happy to be joining Chanel Beauty. I think Chanel is a pioneering brand that respects its iconic identity while constantly creating something new. As an artist who strives to keep my own color while taking on new challenges, this collaboration with Chanel feels especially meaningful."

Are Your Earrings Supersized Enough?

Gabrielle Chanel, a proponent of casual style, famously advised taking one thing off before leaving the house. But even she would have been seduced by the supersized pom-pom earrings that Chanel's incoming artistic director Matthieu Blazy paired with the opening look, a sober brown suit, at his SS26 debut for the house . The earrings chimed with a wider shift towards more daring ear ornaments across catwalks and red carpets. At the 2025 Academy Museum Gala, which kicked off awards season last month, numerous starlets opted for staid necklines and spotlight-drawing earrings. Consider them the simplest way to step into party season.

A visible transaction, simple chemistry doing its slow work. But the underlying calculus for delivering fragile biomolecules is often the reverse: everything depends on structures that cannot be seen, on mathematical precision rather than volume.

This invisible world demands engineers build carriers that are, paradoxically, firmer than the spherical lipid bubbles most consumers recognize. Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLNs), for example, offer a distinct rigidity. They use high-melting point lipids, creating tiny, crystalline fat spheres that are solid at room temperature, providing a more robust protective armor for sensitive payloads, preventing leakage. They grant a certain peace of mind to the molecules nestled inside. Even more unusual are the Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLCs), designed not for perfect smoothness but for controlled internal imperfection. Researchers intentionally introduce disordered structures—small, manageable gaps and flaws—within the matrix. These structural abnormalities prevent the contents from being squeezed out over time, vastly improving loading capacity and long-term storage stability. A deliberate, engineered weakness resulting in greater capability.

Consider the highly synthetic, branching architectures known as dendrimers. They look less like bubbles and more like microscopic, intricate coral or geometrically perfect miniature trees. Unlike carriers that merely encapsulate a substance, dendrimers hold molecules within or attached precisely to their mathematically defined branches, generation by generation. A fourth-generation dendrimer, for instance, possesses a highly specific number of surface attachment points. This is synthetic precision built layer by layer. Their uniformity allows for incredibly targeted interaction with specific cell surface receptors, a highly personalized handshake at the cellular level. Geometric precision. They are not merely containers; they are molecular delivery scaffolding, designed to release their payload only when the pH of the cellular environment signals the right moment. The astounding specificity of that molecular release, happening far beneath the surface, is a complex, quiet undertaking.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS '97 GLOBAL MATCH. Relief Stress ⊹ #Video-games

Relief Stress ⊹

This restriction, frequently criticized for its unwieldiness, actually refines the player's agency by making minute decisions irreversible and intensely personal. — THE KING OF FIGHTERS '97 GLOBAL MATCH — #.##
TLDR Check here.

That assessment was superficial.

The Gravity of Unused Inventory Slots

The truly unique experiences often reside not in the spectacles the game provides, but in the specific, unusual limits it imposes. Consider the systems designed around scarcity where inventory space is deliberately and permanently finite, a decision that forces the player into small, critical acts of abandonment. This is not simply a matter of resource management. It is a sustained exercise in object permanence and subjective valuation. The unused slots carry a palpable weight; they represent potential items forever foregone, critical tools that could not be carried, thereby amplifying the emotional consequence of every roadside shard or broken circuit board encountered. A highly structured world, intent on restricting the player's freedom to accumulate, forces a unique form of attachment to the ten objects that *were* deemed worthy of survival. This restriction, frequently criticized for its unwieldiness, actually refines the player's agency by making minute decisions irreversible and intensely personal. The experience becomes defined by the constant, quiet calculation of what merits existence within one's limited digital possession, rather than the simple acquisition of everything available.

Ephemeral Architecture and Player Memory

Certain design choices deliberately undermine the expected stability of the virtual environment, focusing on instability as a core mechanical feature. The most unexpected games incorporate spatial inconsistencies—non-Euclidean geometry, or sections where the architecture itself reorganizes based on the orientation of the observer. A reliable map is impossible. This challenges the player not just to solve a puzzle, but to mistrust their immediate sensory input and, critically, their own memory. The absence of spatial continuity becomes a form of environmental narration. In these spaces, the player is navigating doubt, rather than dimensions. It is unusual for a mechanical system to incorporate player disorientation as a fundamental difficulty curve, demanding that the individual accept a world where walking through a doorway can relocate a structure entirely. This approach avoids traditional external challenges, shifting the focus inward; the primary barrier is the mind's insistence on logic where logic is intentionally nullified. Such subtle, sustained acts of cognitive dissonance yield a specialized form of engagement, forcing acute attention to minute details that might indicate the next rupture in expected reality.

It is a deceptively simple mathematical construct, yet its intrinsic limitations ripple into spectacular world-breaking phenomena. Designers labor under the knowledge that beyond a specific coordinate threshold—often a mere thirty-two million virtual meters—precision erodes utterly. The engine begins to discard necessary information about decimal placement, treating near-identical numbers as radically disparate values, or vice versa. This is when the chaos starts.

Objects begin to shudder. Textures detach from their anchor points, shimmering across the horizon like heat haze over an actual, humid road. The game engine, unable to cope with the sustained minutiae of extremely large numbers, generates the infamous 'Far Lands' scenario—a chaotic, unpredictable landscape where geometry becomes molten and physics merely a suggestion. Imagine meticulously crafting a digital solar system only to have the outermost planet refuse to adhere to Keplerian orbits, choosing instead to rapidly jitter into oblivion. This relentless mathematical decay demands architectural sacrifices, forcing the truncation of otherwise infinite conceptual spaces into manageable, yet frustratingly finite, stages. The inability to fully trust the arithmetic means world boundaries are not merely design choices; they are preventative computational crash barriers.

The Cult of Dedicated Peripherals

The professionalization of specialized virtual tasks necessitates peripherals bordering on performance art, demanding strange physical commitments from the user. Consider the sprawling *Steel Battalion* cockpit, a monumental setup of forty individual input mechanisms and three foot pedals—a literal miniature physical commitment mirroring the digital armored core it controls. Players did not merely press buttons; they operated a low-fidelity simulation of an industrial interface. This bizarre necessity reaches its zenith in the eject mechanism: when a player's virtual mechanized armor explodes, the physical setup demanded a mandatory, immediate reboot sequence via a large, red EJECT button installed on the user's console. Failure to hit that specific, physical button meant the permanent, unrecoverable loss of saved data. It is a brilliant, punishing moment where the digital consequence spills out onto the actual living room floor.

Then there is the peculiar, serene elegance of the *Densha de Go!* train simulators, which eschew standard controllers entirely. They require custom levers and brake handles—an absurd dedication to emulating the slow, rhythmic labor of Tokyo transit. The user is asked to temporarily suspend their identity, becoming instead a temporary functionary of a very specific, slow-moving machine. These devices are not just interfaces; they are sculptural requirements that mandate a particular posture and intentionality, transforming the mundane act of sitting on a couch into a specialized, temporary vocation.

The Unexpected Expertise of Digital Cartography

A strange empathy emerges when observing the highly specialized skills demanded by ultra-niche simulations. Within the sprawling complexity of high-fidelity flight simulators, certain dedicated virtual pilots specialize only in celestial navigation, abandoning modern avionics entirely. They routinely navigate transatlantic journeys using sextants and published almanacs, calculating their digital position relative to the digital zenith—a truly antiquated skill dusted off purely for the joy of digital execution. The system offers them sophisticated GPS, but they choose the demanding, esoteric purity of the stars.

Furthermore, in construction-focused titles where efficiency is paramount, there exists a community dedicated to 'pixel piloting'—the meticulous, incremental movement of objects to achieve exact, near-impossible geometrical fits for maximum throughput. It is an industrial micro-labor performed purely for aesthetic satisfaction and resource optimization. These silent, specialized virtuosos often understand the collision geometry of specific structural assets better than the initial development team did. Their exacting work is a testament to the human desire for total mastery over arbitrary, self-imposed rulesets, finding enduring satisfaction in the minute numerical superiority of a perfectly placed virtual pumpjack. The system was designed for functionality; these practitioners optimize it for crystalline, industrial perfection.

Not the functional glare necessary for safety, but the intimate, focused glow. Consider the intricate craftsmanship in Minoan bronze lamps, designed less for widespread visibility and more for casting distinct, dancing shadows across specific objects—emphasizing, hiding. A deliberate reveal. This intentional limitation, the selection of what is precisely highlighted—a statue's eye, a doorway's frame—is the enduring essence of applied ambient luminescence.

This quest for a specific, cultivated ambiance extended deep into architectural applications. The subtle engineering involved in medieval stained glass, filtering high daylight into defined, vibrating pools of color, transforms the harsh external reality into an interior theater. A quiet magic settles over the space. Later preferences favored localized illumination. Think of the unique, ephemeral quality within the Kirschbaum Grotto in Bavaria—an artificial subterranean chamber where specialized, small colored oil lamps were strategically placed to mimic the shifting, mysterious atmosphere of natural cavern formations. Illumination that tells a complex story of geology and fantasy intertwined. The chosen light source becomes the storyteller.

The true artistry resides in the replication of the unusual motif, the tiny, recurring element that builds overwhelming atmosphere through repetition and unity. Look to the specific traditions of the German *Räuchermännchen* (smoking men) from the early 20th century, some elaborate figures designed to hold a miniature internal flame or wick. This small spark of illumination created the illusion of inner warmth, a small domestic figure brought dramatically to life by a single, controlled ember. Only softness permeates the scene. Similarly, the delicate, hand-painted Japanese *Andon* lamps utilized specialized paper membranes to intentionally diffuse and distort the light, ensuring no harsh lines could intrude. Each unit, whether an acorn shape or a paper shell, contributes to the overwhelming, specific sense of place.

Intended Distortion The purposeful design of the *Andon* to soften, rather than clarify, the light source.
Narrative Illumination The Kirschbaum Grotto lamps used solely to mimic natural phenomena for emotional effect.
Symbolic Weight Minoan lamps engineered specifically to focus shadows on details, prioritizing texture over breadth.
Internal Warmth Early 20th-century decorative figures using miniature internal light to simulate life or domestic heat.
